Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir

The Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir is a beautiful spot in Central Park in Manhattan, New York City. It is a large, calm body of water that many people enjoy visiting.

The reservoir was built a long time ago, in the 1860s, to help bring clean water to the city. It was called the Upper Reservoir back then. Today, it is no longer used for the city’s water, but it is still a lovely place.

In 1994, the reservoir was named after Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis because she loved to jog there. She was a former First Lady who cared deeply about the city and its parks.

People love to walk, run, and enjoy nature around the reservoir. It has a running track that is very popular. The area is also known for its pretty cherry trees and flowers, and many birds can be seen there.
