NATO
NATO is a group of 32 countries that work together to keep each other safe. Most of these countries are in Europe, and two are in North America. NATO was started in 1949 to help countries protect one another.
If one country is in trouble, all the others will help. This idea is called collective security. NATO has grown over time, and today countries like Finland and Sweden have joined because they want to be part of this safety group.
NATO helps make sure all its members feel safe and strong by sharing resources and supporting each other. During a difficult time called the Cold War, NATO worked to stay strong. After that, NATO helped in places such as Bosnia and Kosovo.
NATO has many members, including Albania, Belgium, Bulgaria, and Canada. The main place where NATO meets is in Brussels, Belgium. Leaders from each country meet to make important decisions.
NATO also works with other countries around the world to talk and cooperate. This helps keep peace and friendship between many nations.
