Canada at the Olympics

Canada has been a part of the Olympic Games for many years. Canadians love to watch and support their athletes at both the Winter Olympic Games and the Summer Olympic Games. The Canadian Olympic Committee helps organize Canada’s teams for these big events.

One of Canada’s happiest moments was at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia. That year, Canada won the most gold medals, which was extra special because the games were held right there in Canada.

Canada has hosted the Winter Olympics two times. The first was in 1988 in Calgary, and the second was in 2010 in Vancouver. Many Canadian athletes have made the country proud by winning medals in many different sports.

Some famous Canadian Olympians include Clara Hughes, who won medals in both Summer and Winter Games, and Penny Oleksiak, who won many swimming medals. These athletes show how talented and hardworking Canadians can be on the world stage.

The Olympics are a time when countries come together to celebrate sports and friendship. Canada’s participation helps make these games exciting and inspiring for everyone.
