The Montreal Biosphère is a unique building in Montreal, Canada, designed to look like a geodesic dome. It is part of the Montreal Museum of Nature and helps teach people about the environment and ecosystems.

What is a Dome?

A dome is a special curved roof that looks like the top half of a ball or sphere. It makes buildings beautiful and strong. People have built domes for thousands of years in many different places.

Where Do Domes Come From?

You can find domes in old buildings from ancient Mesopotamia, Persian, Hellenistic, Roman, and Chinese cultures. They were also used a lot in Byzantine architecture and Sasanian architecture.
