Welcome to Guinea!
Guinea is a beautiful country in West Africa. It touches the Atlantic Ocean and shares borders with six other countries: Guinea-Bissau, Senegal, Mali, Ivory Coast, Sierra Leone, and Liberia. The capital city is Conakry, which is full of life and activity.

Guinea has many different landscapes. You can find tall mountains, green forests, wide savannahs, and sandy beaches. One special place is Mount Nimba, which is very tall and has been protected by UNESCO. The country has four main areas: the coast, the highlands, the savannah, and the tropical forest. These areas are home to many animals and plants.
People and Culture
Guinea is home to many different groups of people. Some of the largest groups are the Mandinka, Fulas, and Soussou. The official language is French, but many local languages are also spoken. Most people in Guinea practice Islam, but there are also Christian communities and people who follow traditional beliefs.
