North Macedonia is a small, beautiful country in Southeast Europe. It is landlocked, meaning it is surrounded by land and does not touch the sea. North Macedonia shares borders with Greece, Albania, Bulgaria, Kosovo, and Serbia.

The capital city is Skopje, which is also the largest city. Skopje has many interesting sights, including old buildings and modern structures. The country has a rich history, with many ancient empires ruling the land, such as the Kingdom of Macedonia and the Roman Empire.

North Macedonia is known for its lovely landscapes. It has tall mountains like Mount Korab, deep canyons such as Matka Canyon, and beautiful lakes like Lake Ohrid and Lake Prespa. The weather changes with the seasons, with warm summers and cold winters.

The people of North Macedonia are friendly and proud of their culture. They enjoy music, dancing, and traditional foods. One popular dish is Tavče gravče, made from beans, spices, and sometimes meat. The country also has many festivals celebrating music, poetry, and films.

North Macedonia is part of international groups like NATO and hopes to join the European Union one day. It works hard to improve its economy and provide good services for its citizens, such as universal health care and free primary and secondary education.

The country has diverse wildlife, with forests home to bears, wolves, and birds. North Macedonia works to protect its nature through national parks and other programs. Visitors can enjoy hiking, exploring old towns, and experiencing the warm hospitality of its people.
